I was honored to talk with Bill Anderson backstage at the Grand Ole Opry on October 22, 2022. It was very timely, just before his birthday on November 1st. We talked about the recent inductions in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the 60th anniversary of his first #1 record, "Mama Sang A Song", the recent passing of Anita Kerr, and my bucket list request to sing a verse of one of my favorite songs. yes, I can now say that I got to sing a song with Bill Anderson at the Grand Ole Opry.

"Joe Don had everything planned so well that we were able to see and do a lot of Country Music stuff in a short time, yet still did not feel rushed. Had free time to explore, but done a lot with our great group. Everyone liked the Sun Studio and group recording, our Saturday night free time downtown as well as Grand Ole Opry with back stage visit. These should be included in each trip. The meet and greet of country music stars was a real highlight and treat of the trip. The group had a visit to the Wild Horse Saloon where we had a good dinner and danced to the music of a great country band."
